Hockey madness

Published by sal2683 at 1:01 am under hockey Edit This

Today was a very predictable day for hockey.
In the NHL playoffs, the superior Red Wings proved why they are superior with a 4-1 win over Dallas.
The Stars, who have battled all post-season long, didn’t stand much of a chance from the beginning, as Detroit has been favored pretty much all season for the Stanley Cup.
Marty Turco, who had been superb in the previous two series, had one of his worst games in the post-season.
Turco hadn’t given up more than three goals in twice as many games.
The near-long week vacation proved not to be a hamper to Detroit.
Johan Franzen, Brian Rafalski and Tomas Holmstrom scored power-play goals for Detroit, who got its seventh straight victory Thursday night.
Game 2 will be Saturday night.
