Overrated Celtics?
Before the post-season, the Boston Celtics had one of the winningest records on home court, not to mention finishing the regular season 66-16.
None of that seems to matter for them in the playoffs, however.
The Celtics have shown signs of being unable to close out a series, including being a game away from eliminating the Hawks in the previous round.
Atlanta rallied with three straight wins before Boston clinched the series in a must-win situation.
Monday night, the Cavaliers tied the series at 2-2 with an 88-77 win.
The Celtics trailed by just three points at the end of the third quarter but put up only 12 points in the final quarter compared to Cleveland’s 20.
LeBron James led the way scoring 21 points while Wally Szczerbiak added 14.
Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen combined for more than half of Boston’s points, but it still wasn’t enough.
Game 5 is Wednesday in Boston, and the Celtics might be in serious trouble if they can’t pull of a home-court win.
