Good as new
Well folks, Tiger Woods is looking like he used to.
Fresh off of surgery on his knee, Woods entered the U.S. Open Thursday and looked like he was still suffering from the surgery’s after-effects a little bit.
On Friday he pulled through it, however, and has now given himself a shot at catching the leaders.
He shot a 3-under 30 the second day and now sits a mere shot behind leader Stuart Appleby.
Friday was almost a stark contrast to Woods’ play the first day, where he didn’t do so hot and many people thought his knee was bothering him.
Whether or not it still is, he is looking like the Tiger Woods of old, from the birdies he makes appear so easy to the passionate fist pumps after a good shot.
He’s still got two rounds left to go but if he plays anything like he did on Friday, it’ll be just another trophy for his case.
