Wimbledon getting some sisterly love
The Williams’ sisters are at it again.
Younger sisterr Serena picked up a victory over 11th-ranked Agnieszka Radwanska to get a step closer to the final, while Venus had a terrific match yesterday over Tamarine Tanasugarn.
Venus showed why she just might be the favorite this year, serving one particular ball 127 mph to the other side of the court, which tied her Wimbledon record.
It has been a couple of years since both sisters were in good competition together.
Each has had her struggles the past couple of year, Venus in particular.
The older sibling started her career strong, and was the ultimate favorite to beat.
Suddendly Serena began to improve, and the two competed regularly aggainst in each other in the world rankings, but Venus plateau’d and it was Serena’s turn.
Now Wimbledon is looking at the pretty good chance of both sisters going head to head in the final.
With some of the other big names knocked out already, Wimbledon is shaping up to be a good, and pretty interesting, tournament thus far.
